Come support the Navy SEAL Foundation and help us “never leave a man behind”.

The San Francisco Frogman Swim (sister swim to the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim) is a two mile open water swim and fundraiser that benefits the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF), a 501(c)(3) with a coveted four star rating by Charity Navigator.

The Navy SEAL Foundation supports wounded and fallen Navy SEALs, NSW Support Personnel and their families.

Sunday, July 14, 2019.  Course TBD

Holiday Inn, 1500 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA.   Phone: 415.441.4000.

All swimmers will receive an American made event t-shirt and hoody and upon finishing will be awarded a San Francisco Frogman Swim coin presented by a US Navy SEAL or a surviving family member of a SEAL.  Afterwards, everyone is invited to  the post race party at Bay View Boat Club located at 489 Terry A Francois Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94158.  The party will feature a buffet brunch and beer provided by Iron Springs Brewery.

Registration will open March 4 at 7am PST in honor of Neil Roberts (SEAL) and the heroes of Operation Anaconda.  There are absolutely no refunds for this event as this event is a fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Please visit imAthlete.com for quickest processing.  Please register early as we are limiting the field to 60 swimmers.

Fundraising Director: Randy Enzman – rcenzmann@gmail.com

This is a charity event to benefit the mission of the Navy SEAL Foundation to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the NSW community and their families. Swimmers are asked to participate in raising funds – an ideal goal is $2000 per swimmer.

While $2000 is the ideal fundraising goal per swimmer, we appreciate the best efforts of our participants in helping us reach this year’s total fundraising goal of $120,000.  Before registering, we ask that you please consider your ability to meet that dollar amount as you may be taking the slot of a swimmer who has every intention of meeting or exceeding that goal.

Fundraising can be done via our imAthlete.com page, collecting donations personally or through the “Donate” button on our home page. Please visit www.navysealfoundation.org to learn more about this very special cause. The Golden Gate Frogman Swim, a two mile open water event, may be challenging for even seasoned swimmers, therefore it is recommended that swimmers possess some degree of open water experience or, at the very least, competitive long distance pool experience.

To ensure the safety of the swimmers, the event committee will reserve the right to review the swimming experience of each participant and possibly deny registration to the event if safety concerns exist; or some swimmers may be asked to furnish a letter from a sanctioned swim team or masters coach attesting to their ability to complete such an arduous open-water event.

The water temperature of the Bay is usually between 55-63 degrees in August, and as a result, wetsuits are mandatory. Exceptions, i.e., swimmers training for the English Channel, etc., will be made on case by case basis at the race director’s discretion prior to the event.
